Shirley Manson: Photo Inspired

Garbage is by far one of my favorite bands. I adore Shirley Manson and view her as an idol. I've always wanted to do my makeup like hers, so tadaah! I love how Shirley looks in this photograph, she looks so seductive and very rock 'n roll. Although the photo is fierce, I did not want to copy it exactly. I made my look, more polished and less...post-hotness makeup mess.
Overall, the look is pretty simple. This would be perfect for night when you want to bring out your inner smoldering temptress. :D
For this look I used:
-UDPP
-Mac Vanilla Pigment
-UD Goddess e/s
-UD Perversion e/s
-NYX Saphire e/l
-Revlon Color Stay liquid e/l pen
-Maybelline Lash Stiletto
-Mary Kate & Ashley glitter <--- Yeah...why do I own this?
Lips:
-Revlon Lip tint Berry Juice
-NYX lip liner Plum
-Mac So Scarlet
Cheeks:
-ELF blush in Shy

At the shore

A friend and I went to the shore by the Chesapeake bay to have a picnic and to relax. While we were on the sand, we noticed these little buggers in the photo. We could not believe our eyes! Horseshoe crabs? It was neat and sad to see these little critters on the sand. They had washed up on the sand with the high tide, and they never made it back :( Not only did we see one crab, but we saw 4 others that were not lucky enough to make it back to the water.
I've only seen these at aquariums so I was pretty excited to see them for realz.

Any day can be photo day

I like to take a lot of photographs. I know that might sound vain, but it's not. I take photos of myself, friends, interesting things, animals and silly things. I do it for fun, and since I'm not a real model, why not model for myself? Life is all about enjoying yourself and having fun. This is what I do. So, excuse my many photos to come.

Why not model for your own photos? If you enjoy it, you should do it regardless of how "vain" people may perceive it as. It's all about having fun, and creating memories. So go out there and strike a pose.

Seong Mi-na Makeup tutorial

Seong Mina is the korean based character in Soul Calibur 4. For this tutorial I drew inspiration from her costume. I loved the greens and the mixture of pinks on her skirt. Seong-Mina usually fights along side of Yun-Seong, who is on the search for Soul Edge. She tries to persuade and warn Yun-Seong that Soul Edge should be feared, but Yun-Seong is determined.
Personally, I don't play her very much. I'm a pretty crappy Seong-Mina player. :P
For this eye look I used:

-UDPP
-UD book of shadows palette, Protest

-NYX trio tropical, yellow, lime green

-BFTE $10 pineapple

-Revlon ColorStay liquid pen eyeliner

-Wet 'n Wild Black Kohl eyeliner

-NYC lashes

-Maybelline Lash Stiletto
-VS Jewels Blush
-VS Malibu Lipstick

Lux Pain Game Review

Lux Pain is a visual novel based adventure game. You play as Atsuki, the main character that has lux pain on one of his arms. That transplant ables Atsuki to "read" or gain insight about left over emotions that others leave behind. He is able to read minds and read shinens, aka strong emotions.

I really enjoy mystery games, so this game in theory was a perfect match. I enjoyed the search for Silent, and the relationships that Atsuki created with the side characters. However, it was really sad and disappointing to find so many errors in this game. Spelling, grammar errors. Don't get me wrong, everyone does the occasional typo. However, this game is out in the market! The game is being sold with huge errors, which will lead to many unhappy customers. Is it not someone's duty to check & proof read a VISUAL NOVEL? It was already distracting to have a written dialogue that hardly made sense. Instead the gamer must rely on the spoken dialogue, if one plans to understand the game what-so-ever.

I suspect that many gamers will give up hope and lose interest in Lux Pain. I hope this is untrue, but sadly this is all due to the translation. It's weak! This game needed some reviewing before it was released. If the company had spent extra time reviewing it, all of this could've been avoided, and we could have ourselves a great game. Sadly, this did not happen.

Overall, I know this game has many flaws... but I still enjoyed playing it. I will admit, it was hard to get past the distracting written dialogue and the many errors. It's still worth a play, but be warned of it's distracting flaws.

Talim Soul Calibur 4

WIND! If you play Soul Calibur, you know exactly who says that! Talim, of course! Don't be fooled by her age nor her honor. She'll still kick your butt, doing so all in the name of WIND! I made this look inspired by our wind priestess. On the eyes I used the UDPP, the 88 palette, NYX nude e/s, Urban Decay 24/7 lucky e/l, CS gel e/l, Lash Blash mascara. On my face I have a Mac fondation, Mac on a mission blush, Too Faced decade of glamor highlighter/bronze duo.

The colors that I used to create the look:
This is one of my favorite looks that I created from the Soul Calibur series. I love the gold and green together. This would be a makeup look for someone that loves Talim so much, they would cosplay as her.

ELF haul

My order came in! Yay! It was torture, waiting for the package. I placed my order May 25 and it came on June 4th. Pretty long, right? Well ELF takes up to 5 days to process your order. Bleh! Now, let me show you what I got!

Above, is the Blush/Bronze contouring brush. I included Cover Girl's Lash Blast mascara for size comparisons. The brush hair on this brush is a reddish color. It's also not as soft as the other brushes I order. I guess that's what you get for $1.00

This is the fan brush which is part of the ELF studio gear line. The studio gear line is $3.00 and up. The brush is very soft but it smelled of chemicals.

The blending brush is very soft and did not shed whatsoever when I washed it.

Above are the medium eyeshadow brushes. They shed a bit while I washed them.

The powder brush is also part of the studio gear line. The brush hairs are very soft and dense but had a terrible scent. In additon, I also purchased a lip brush and an angled eye brush.

The ELF quad was what really caught my eye on their website. Mac sells their quad palletes for $3.50 where as ELF sells them for $1.00 each. It's amazing! It already comes with the magnet, a mirror, and a cheap applicator (lip & eye applicator). However, you can remove the plastic seperators and fit more eyeshadows. WOOOO!

Other items that I purchased were a clear mascara for eyebrows & lashes, and two concealers. Overall, I'm pretty content with my ELF purchases, even if it took forever to arrive. Check out http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ if you are interested.

Amy Soul Calibur 4

Those of you who are familiar with the popular game, Soul Calibur, will recognize the character Amy. Amy is the young, gothic-lolita female character in the game. Her fighting style is very similiar to Raphael's. This character has many gamers going crazy. CRAZY! Is it the spiral pigtails or the child appearance? Many claim both. She's just a virtual character but is it wrong to find a young character hot? Personally, I think it's a bit strange, but who am I to judge?
Anywho, I attempted to create a makeup look inspired by Amy.

Pika Girl

Pikaaaaa-chuuu! Pikachu one of the cutest and most popular Pokemon. Who wouldn't want to look like Pika? This tutorial would be a great Halloween look or for someone interested in cosplay as the jolly yellow Pokemon. Video is up on YouTube. :D

elf makeup

I have heard and visited the elf (eyeslipsface) website time & time again. However, I had not personally purchased anything until now. Although they're prices are excellent, I am not thrilled with their shipping and processing time. I ordered last Tuesday and it took them almost a full week to finally ship out my package. I have not received my items yet, but I hope it's worth the wait! Does anyone have any thoughts or similar problems?
